The Reverend Donald Adolphson, Deacon at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Walnut Creek, holds a BS in Metallurgical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, an MS in Metallurgy from the University of Illinois, and is a graduate of the Diocese of California School for Deacons. He is retired from Sandia Laboratory, and joined St. Paul’s after ten years at St. Matthias Episcopal Church in San Ramon.

Rev. Don and his wife, Nancy, have had the joy of being a part of the St. Paul’s parish since 1993. One can always find Rev. Don on Sunday mornings active around the altar and occasionally preaching. While active in many of the facets of the parish, Rev. Don and Nancy also help bring the love of God to men and women in nearby prisons. They enjoy playing bridge in the parish bridge club and being a part of a book club. As they live just down the street, you may often see them walking to the church or around town.

Deacons serve the parish in various liturgical, pastoral and administrative opportunities.
