AARP Tax-Aide is Back!
St. Paul’s is pleased to welcome back our friends at AARP. They offer free tax assistance to anyone, with a special focus on taxpayers who are 50+ or with a low to moderate income. They are currently working one day a week only, and appointments are required. Call (925) 979-5013.
Are You a Friend of Winter Nights Family Shelter?
Here’s an idea! If you received a stimulus check and are fortunate enough to not really need money, please consider donating to Winter Nights Family Shelter. They’re in their fourth month of housing homeless families with eight different host sites. Many volunteers have brought food for the families, and here’s how your donation can help.
- Provide staff 24/7 for sheltering in place
- Transportation in their van, and Clipper Cards for BART and bus
- Computers for students and staff
- Crafts for all ages
- Sanitizing materials for host sites, plus laundry for families and WN linens
- First and last month rent for families moving into housing.
