We are an Episcopal parish church in the Diocese of California, and members of the Anglican Communion in the United States, part of the third largest group of Christians in the world. We follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and have a legacy of inclusion. We share God’s love for every human being, regardless of sexual identity or orientation.
Welcome from our Rector, the Rev. Krista Fregoso
Welcome to St. Paul’s! Wherever you are on your faith journey, we welcome you. Whether online or in person, we invite you to join us, and to share our role in God’s dream of light and love. We are leaning into a vision of being a prayerful center for Walnut Creek today. We open our campus and offer space for support groups and various community meetings. We are providing affordable housing for those priced out of the area. We share our sacred space with two other worshiping communities. In all of this, we bring to everyday life our baptismal covenant, how as Christians, we are called to live out our faith: with firm commitment and a reliance on God’s help.
Blessings,
+Rev. Krista
Our Services
On Sundays at 7:30 am we have a traditional service held in our historic chapel. At 9:30 am there is a service in the large church with the St. Paul’s choir. St. Paul’s welcomes children at our services! We have dedicated soft space located on the right side of the church, where children are invited to sit or lie on the carpeted floor and to color, read, or play with the “quiet” toys provided. During the service each week, just before the Homily, Rev. Krista invites all children to the altar steps, where she introduces the Homily theme for the day. Then, the children are invited to go with a Sunday School teacher to the Garden Room adjoining the sanctuary to participate in an age-appropriate activity. Parents are welcome to join the children in the classroom or stay in the service. Afterward, the children rejoin the main service in time for communion with their families.
Every Thursday at noon there is a Healing Service and Eucharist in the chapel.
