Leadership is a gift from God that is expressed by all members of our church. At every level, laypeople and clergy serve as leaders of St. Paul’s.

Rector
The Reverend Krista Fregoso
Reverend Krista holds a Masters of Divinity from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific; 2008 Bachelor Degree, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, 1999.
In August, 2018 she was called to be the eighth Rector of St. Paul’s Walnut Creek.

Interim Associate
The Reverend Laurie Moyer
Laurie’s homes: NY State, MA, TN, MD, WV and now CA (12 years). Graduated from Univ. of TN (English Lit). Statistician/writer for Census Bureau (33 yrs). Ordained: Diocese of WV (2003). Master of Pastoral Studies. Master of Fine Arts. Widowed. Two adult children (DC and CA). Loves: Quilting, reading, movies, walking son’s dogs.

Chief of Staff
Eileen Mitchell
Eileen’s experience includes more than 14 years as a marketing communications manager for a local nonprofit. At St. Paul’s, she oversees all marketing communications in addition to cultivating partner relationships and working with our terrific team of volunteers. In her spare time, Eileen is a freelance writer and volunteers with a local greyhound rescue group.

Music Minister
Dr. Larry Crummer
Larry brings to St. Paul’s warmth, humor and a larger-than-life persona coupled with his rich wealth of musical knowledge, talent, and leadership. He holds three degrees in Organ Performance, graduating Summa Cum Laude with highest honors for all three: doctorate and master’s (DMus, MMus) from Indiana University (Bloomington); bachelor’s degree (BMus) from Morningside College (Sioux City, IA) with minors in flute performance, church music and literature, and music history. He retired as a college music professor after 36 years, serving at both Evergreen Valley College (San Jose, CA) and Southern Oregon State (Ashland, OR). Since age 12, he has served in many church musician roles, including organist, pianist, choir director, and more.

Facilities Manager
Beverly Price
Bev has been an active member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Clayton, CA for 30 years, and welcomes the opportunity to serve St. Paul’s in Walnut Creek as Facilities Manager. Her expertise stems from administrative positions in a hospital, an international shipping company, and as office manager for a law group. Bev and her husband Steve have two grown sons, three grandchildren, and two very spoiled cats. Bev is also a self-declared Sudoku puzzle addict.
Vestry
The elected vestry serves as the governing board for the parish, with the rector as president. The basic responsibilities of the vestry are to help define and articulate the mission of the congregation; to support the church’s mission by word and deed; to select the rector; to ensure effective organization and planning; and to manage resources and finances.
