Generosity.” A simple word that can mean different things to different people. What does “generosity” mean to you?
The theme of this year’s Stewardship program is Generosity. We picked this theme because, from our toilet paper supplies to gatherings of family and friends, 2020 has been a year of NO and scarcity. We are counteracting this by reflecting on all of God’s abundance in our lives.
In past weeks, Rev. Krista has held several small-group sessions discussing the many faces of generosity and the role it plays in our lives. A few things to ponder have included:
- What is the most precious gift you have received?
- When have you been the unexpected recipient of generosity?
- What generous act moved you to tears?
- When were you surprised and inspired by an act of generosity?
In this final small-group Zoom session, we will share special moments of generosity that have lifted our spirits and helped us navigate what has been a most challenging year. We will also talk about how we, as a faith community, are called to lean into this new world and continue to be a beacon of hope and light in Walnut Creek.
We look forward to what promises to be a meaningful and heartfelt discussion.
