Holy Week and Easter, the pinnacles of the church year, are important because this is when the Christian community remembers the last week of Jesus’ life on earth: His entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, the Last Supper, death on the cross, the silence of Holy Saturday, and the celebration of Easter Vigil and Easter Day. Through the liturgies of Holy Week, we are given a yearly opportunity to walk with Jesus through His final days in a real and powerful way.*
We invite you to join us for Holy Week services. All are welcome!
All services are streaming live (except Joyful Noise) on Facebook and YouTube. All times PDT.
March 28: Palm Sunday @ 9:30 am
Palm Sunday is the first day of Holy Week. We commemorate not only Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem as crowds cheered and waved palm branches, but also remember his final days. We read the story of his betrayal, trial, crucifixion, and death.
April 1: Maundy Thursday @ 7:00 pm featuring guest preacher, Rev. Anne Benefield
On this day, we remember Jesus final meal, often referred to as The Last Supper, with his friends before his crucifixion. “Maundy” comes from the Latin word for “commandment” because Maundy Thursday is the day we remember the things that Jesus commanded us to do on the night before he died.
April 2: Good Friday Stations of the Cross @ noon
This service follows the series of events at the end of Jesus’ life, from his condemnation to his burial.
April 2: Good Friday Traditional Service, The Solemn Collects @ 7:00 pm
This service commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus and his death at Calvary.
April 3: Easter Vigil @ 7:00 pm
The Great Vigil of Easter is the first celebration of Christ’s resurrection and the joy continues in the services on Easter Sunday.
