Holy Week at St. Paul’s
Join us as we walk the sacred path from the palms to the cross to the empty tomb. This is the most holy time of the Christian year. Each service offers a unique experience of the story of Jesus’ final days and resurrection hope. Come as you are. Bring a friend.
Palm Sunday – March 29
🌿 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.
We begin our journey with shouts of “Hosanna!” and palm branches waving. The Passion story is read dramatically as we turn toward Holy Week.
Maundy Thursday – April 2
🍽️ Agape Meal at 6:30 p.m. | Service at 7:00 p.m.
We remember Jesus’ commandment to love one another. We begin with a simple, shared meal. The service includes Eucharist, foot washing, and the stripping of the altar.
Good Friday – April 3
✝️ 12:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
We remember Jesus’ self-sacrificial act of love for the world. A solemn Episcopal ritual with the reading of the Passion according to John, ancient prayers, and the meditative Veneration of the Cross.
The Great Vigil of Easter – Saturday, April 4
🔥 7:00 p.m.
The story of our faith and God’s relationship with the world culminates in overcoming death. A beautiful, ancient service beginning in darkness and culminating in the first light of Easter. We tell the sacred stories of salvation and celebrate the first Eucharist of Easter.
Easter Sunday – April 5
🌅 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.
Celebrate the resurrection with joyful worship, festive music, and vibrant community. Each service is followed by a festive Coffee Hour. The 9:30 service includes a Children’s sermon and Sunday School. Musically, it features the St. Paul’s Choir, Handbell Ensemble, Brass Quintet, and timpani: we culminate in a sing-along of the Hallelujah Chorus. Afterward, kids are invited to join our Easter Egg Giving Hunt to support charities.
