2020 is all about doing things differently, and that’s our approach for this year’s Christmas Eve pageant! We’re inviting families to take part in a video that will be shown during our special parking lot Christmas Eve Service with Pageant. How will you appear in our video?
Pick a Scene: Looking at the script, select a scene you would like to participate in. You can do a scene as a family or pick just one character for a scene. Some scenes also need pictures–add as many photos and selfies as you like!
Pick a Costume: You can either use our costumes or find something around the house to dress in. To print out your own nativity masks, click here.
Shy about appearing in front of the camera? We also need narrators!
Light! Camera! Action! Either/Or:
- Pick an in-person time: if you would like to use our costumes, come to the church for an outside, socially distanced filming with Rev. Krista. Families will come one at a time in 20-minute intervals and costumes will be washed after each use.
- Pick a Zoom time to record the action with Rev. Krista. This will help with direction and brainstorming on how to act out an Oscar-worthy performance.
- Take videos, pictures or selfies of the scene and email to the church office.
The deadline to participate is Monday, December 21, so don’t delay!
And then it’s movie time at our Christmas Eve Parking Lot Service! We will also share the video on Christmas Day in our 10:30 am service that will live-stream on Facebook and YouTube. In addition, a link to the movie will be sent to all families who participate in our pageant so you can share with family and friends.
